In this 80-hour course, you’ll start by mastering essential safety protocols and pre-shift inspections. You’ll learn to calculate load capacities, secure cargo correctly, and don the right personal protective equipment before every shift. Our trainers guide you through hands-on drills that reinforce proper posture, control checks, and emergency-stop procedures so you build a safety-first mindset from day one.
Once you’ve covered the fundamentals, you climb into the operator’s seat to practice lift-and-lower controls, precise steering and smooth pallet placement. Real-world scenarios mimic the tight aisles of Kampala warehouses, the busy yards of Jinja depots and the high racks of Entebbe terminals. You’ll handle stacked loads, perform stability tests and master load-handling techniques that keep goods moving without damage.
Beyond operator skills, you’ll study routine forklift maintenance—battery care, oil level checks and tyre inspections—so you can spot issues before they become breakdowns. By the end of your training, you’ll earn a Marashatech Certificate of Competence and be ready to step into roles that keep Uganda’s supply chains running efficiently.
